Instructions for exporting configuration file from a Production mode CreditNow! CN-3000/3100 and Importing it to Demo mode Trevance 2.2

It is suggested your resident technical support, IT Dept. or application specialist be made aware of your intentions before proceeding. Your organizations MIS/IT Dept is likely to have the skills, to assist as needed. Completion of all transactions currently in the queue, back-up of all appropriate files in the directory in which the CreditNow! resides be accomplished.

Steps for exporting a configuration file from a Production mode CreditNow! CN-3000/3100 and Importing to Demo mode Trevance 2.2


1. Check your CreditNow! Version. If you are running a version less than V3.1.16.3 , Update CreditNow! CN-3000/3100 to V3.1.16.3 Update instructions are available here:

2. Pause and Quit CreditNow!

3. Backup all CreditNow! all Directories

4. Install Demo Version of Trevance 2.2 Trevance is available here:
Trevance Download Page

5. Export CreditNow! CN-3000/3100 Configuration report from production mode CreditNow! CN-3000/3100.

From CreditNow! Console > Help > Configuration report click the "Export Configuration report" save the configuration report to a desired location (you will need access to this .xml file for later import into Trevance)

6. Have available all associated Passwords for PID, Submitter ID, FTP and or Dialin Passwords from the production mode CreditNow! (For security, the export never contains your passwords).

7. Log into the Demo Trevance > Pause Server

8. Enter the server passphrase in Trevance installation "Configure> Set Server Passphrase"

9. From the File Menu choose "Import configuration file" Choose the xml file you just exported from CreditNow!

10. Enter required passwords as prompted

Trevance now contains the CreditNow! configuration information. Refer to Trevance User Manual for further Trevance set up instructions.
